Things To See

Murter island is close to some spectacular sights of nature, including national parks Krka, Kornati and nature park Vrana Lake. Also in the vicinity, there is medieval city of Sibenik with rich historical heritage, including St. James Cathedral (UNESCO World Heritage site).

Krka National Park

The canyon through surrounding limestone hills and the beautiful waterfalls of Krka River is a must-see. This national park is also very rich in flora and fauna. You can explore the park by boat or on foot, walking wooden bridges over the river.


St. James Cathedral

This cathedral in the old town of Sibenik dates back from the 15th century and is built entirely from stone. This magnificent Gothic-Renaissance monument is included on UNESCO’s World Heritage list.


Kornati National Park

89 islands of Kornati archipelago are the nautical paradise of pristine nature. The numerous small quiet bays, with crystal clear sea, are a perfect place to escape the crowd and noise of urbanised everyday life.

Falconry Center

This unique centre is located just 7 km from the city of Sibenik. It is home to the various species of birds of prey. The center also saves some endangered species, that have been breed over years to save them from extinction.
